Estranged Wife of Linc Edochie Speaks Out on Broken Relationship

By Staff Writer

Yinka Theisen, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, has opened up about the beginning and collapse of their relationship, revealing a series of personal and troubling details.

In an interview with actor and online personality Uche Maduagwu, Yinka explained that she and Linc grew close after he confided in her about his previous marriage. According to her, Linc claimed his ex-wife was unfaithful and had issues with substance use.

“I started a relationship with him after he told me a very, very sad thing about how his wife was sleeping around in Abuja with all the Alhajis,” Yinka said. “All these things I have text messages of, and that she’s a weed head. She smokes weed every day, and she withdraws the medication of their last child who had seizures.”

She further stated that she supported Linc during a recent family tragedy and even relocated to Lagos to be by his side.

“What Linc did to me, I’m shocked. I can’t lie to you. This is a man a lot of people don’t know. The family had a tragic event recently, and I was there for him. I came to stay with him in Lagos, I supported him,” she said. “I will just leave it at that because it’s a sensitive thing, and I don’t want to bring out a family secret.”

Yinka claimed her emotional support stemmed from disbelief that “a woman would repeatedly cheat on such an awesome man.”

However, tensions flared between Yinka and Linc following her online conflict with May Edochie, the first wife of Linc’s brother, actor Yul Edochie. The dispute escalated when Yinka published May’s phone number online, alleging May had earlier shared her contact information.

Linc responded by distancing himself from Yinka’s actions, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect in relationships. Shortly afterward, the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram, signaling deeper issues in their marriage.

Yinka has since confirmed the end of their union.

Linc Edochie had previously married Amaka Paula in December 2010, although the status of that marriage remains uncertain. His relationship with Yinka came to public attention on June 2 when veteran journalist Dele Momodu, a friend of the actor, announced their union. Reports suggest the couple may have become engaged in May before the announcement.
