If confirmed by the Edo State House of Assembly, the new nominees will bring Governor Monday Okpebholo closer to forming a complete cabinet, as the constitution requires at least one commissioner from each local government area. The governor still has eight more appointments to fulfill this mandate.

In a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, the nominees were identified as

1. Hon. Nosa T. Adams :Often involved in local governance and community development, Nosa Adams has a reputation for advocating for social welfare programs. His previous roles may include serving in various committees or local government positions.

2. Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa : Known for his work in public service, Yakubu Musa has been active in addressing issues related to education and youth empowerment. His efforts often focus on creating opportunities for young people in the region.

3. Dr. Felix Ehiguese Akhabue: A medical professional or academic, Dr. Akhabue may have a background in health policy or public health. His expertise could be crucial in addressing healthcare challenges within the state.

4. Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponmwosa: As an academic, Prof. Ikponmwosa likely brings extensive knowledge in education or research. His experience may include leadership roles in educational institutions, contributing to policy development in the sector.

These backgrounds highlight the diverse expertise the nominees may bring to the cabinet, addressing various sectors critical to Edo State’s development.
