The conference, themed *“Aviation Financing in Nigeria: The Risks, Opportunities and Prospects,” is set to take place on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at The Providence Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
Key discussions at the event will centre on infrastructure investment, airport modernisation, aircraft leasing and financing models, as well as strategies for funding Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations—critical components in sustaining and expanding Nigeria’s aviation industry.
Renowned economist and Managing Director of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Mr Bismarck Rewane, is expected to deliver expert insights into macroeconomic trends, investment opportunities, and long-term financing strategies essential for the sector’s growth.
Joining him is the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who will provide a government perspective on aviation funding frameworks, policy reforms, and public-private collaboration prospects.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Chairman of the LAAC Conference Committee, Mr Wole Shadare, described it as a timely intervention.
“We are fully ready to host what promises to be one of the most consequential conversations on aviation financing in Nigeria’s recent history. The addition of Mr Bismarck Rewane brings further intellectual weight to an already robust programme,” Shadare said.
He added that delegates should expect insightful sessions and actionable policy recommendations tailored to Nigeria’s unique aviation financing realities.
The LAAC conference has built a reputation over nearly three decades as a credible platform for engaging key stakeholders, driving sectoral reforms, and shaping the future of aviation in Nigeria.
