In a recent conversation with Theresa Edom of the Progressive Digital Youth Forum, renowned political analyst and social commentator Tejere Thomas Jolomi commended the performance of Nigeria’s current president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Known for his candid views on Nigerian politics, Jolomisan remarked, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nothing left to prove. He has demonstrated that true leadership is about maximum capacity and policies that put citizens first. Just look at the rapid reforms across every sector of the economy.”
He continued, “Many of his policies and initiatives have played a vital role in easing economic tensions. The administration is swiftly establishing a solid economic foundation for Nigerians. The results speak for themselves: the national currency is stronger, the stock market has reached unprecedented heights, coal mining has experienced significant revival, and non-oil exports now make up 48% of Nigeria’s total exports. External reserves had climbed to $42.03 billion by September, and N330 billion was distributed to eight million households through the social investment programme.”
Jolomisan emphasized that he has always been optimistic about President Tinubu’s potential under the Renewed Hope Agenda, giving high marks to the president’s leadership style and noting the positive transformation Nigeria has seen during his tenure. He also praised the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) for adopting effective strategies to tackle insecurity, and recognized security firms like Tantita Security Services for their consistent and valuable contributions in aligning economic interests among stakeholders—an essential pillar of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, particularly concerning security.
“Everyone is aware that President Tinubu inherited a deeply troubled security environment, but he quickly set to work on addressing the nation’s insecurity challenges. From his inaugural speech, he made it clear that security would be the cornerstone of his administration, understanding that neither progress nor justice is possible in a climate of unrest. Within his first month, the entire leadership of the national security structure was replaced, bringing in capable, forward-thinking, and mission-driven individuals.”
“Consider how NSA Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has managed these challenges. Ignore the noise in the media; those on the ground are appreciating the administration for providing much-needed relief. The collaboration between the Nigerian government and organizations like Tantita Security Services is helping Nigeria recover valuable assets. These teams are highly skilled, capable, and up to the task.”
