Governor Sule made this known on Monday in Lafia during a ceremony held to welcome Senator Ahmed Wadada, representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, back to the APC from the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
He commended President Tinubu for his courage in making difficult decisions that he said were necessary to reposition Nigeria for long-term progress.
“I want to congratulate our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Sule said. “It is because of his bold and visionary reforms that governors and leaders across the country are returning to the APC. They see the direction of the country and want to be part of this progress.”
The governor revealed that during a recent meeting of APC governors in Kebbi, they welcomed Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, into the party and noted that more defections were ongoing.
“These governors are not joining just to win elections,” he said. “They are coming because they believe in the policies and direction of Mr. President.”
Sule also praised Senator Wadada for returning to the APC, assuring him and his supporters of equal opportunities and inclusion within the party.
State APC Chairman, Aliyu Bello, welcomed Wadada and his team, pledging a level playing field for all members ahead of the 2027 elections. He praised Governor Sule for his leadership and development efforts in areas such as security, education, and healthcare, which, he said, have strengthened the party’s base.
In his remarks, Senator Wadada said he and his supporters were returning to the APC out of conviction and faith in the leadership of both President Tinubu and Governor Sule.
He also donated 18 vehicles to the party executives across senatorial zones and local government areas to support their mobility and preparations for the 2027 elections.
