Speaking during an X Space session titled Weekend Politics, Amaechi vowed to throw his weight behind the party’s nominee to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which he described as “clueless.”
“In a free and fair primary, whoever wins will have my full support. I will be deeply devoted to the campaign and will do everything in my ability to help ADC unseat this current clueless government,” Amaechi said.
He also criticised the ongoing coastal road project, dismissing it as a “road for stealing,” and outlined his top policy priority should he become president. “Electoral reforms are the lowest hanging fruits for me. There will be electoral reforms in my first six months,” he pledged.
Political observers note that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi are reportedly eyeing the ADC ticket, setting the stage for a competitive race within the party.
