The decision was announced in a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, on Monday.
According to Ologunagba, the postponement followed an emergency meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC), held to review recent developments within the party.
He explained that the NWC’s decision was in line with Section 29 (2)(b) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).
“The National Working Committee, after careful consideration of recent developments in our great party, approved the postponement of the 103rd NEC meeting. A new date will be communicated to all members in due course,” Ologunagba stated.
He urged all NEC members and stakeholders to take note of the postponement and await further information regarding the rescheduled date.
The development comes amid a wave of defections of prominent PDP members, including governors, to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), raising concerns about the party’s internal cohesion and future direction.
