According to a statement released on Friday, the new policy applies to supporters from countries that typically require a visa to enter Morocco. The e-visas, accessible through the YALLA app, will be issued at no cost to fans attending the competition, scheduled to run from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
CAF said the initiative comes as global anticipation for Africa’s premier football tournament continues to grow, with increasing numbers of fans booking match tickets.
To facilitate smooth travel and stadium access, fans will be required to obtain two key documents: a Fan Identification (Fan ID) and an e-visa. Both can be applied for through the YALLA app.
“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry into all stadiums and official fan zones,” CAF stated. “Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining the process and enhancing security for international and local fans.”
Fans may access the application process by downloading the YALLA app via Google Play or the App Store, or by visiting the official YALLA website. After completing the Fan ID and e-visa forms, and once approvals are issued, fans will be able to purchase match tickets through the CAF ticketing platform.
CAF noted that the new measures are part of broader efforts to deliver a seamless and safe fan experience across the competition, which will be hosted in six cities and played in nine stadiums.
Morocco, hosting AFCON for the first time since 1988, is expected to welcome 24 participating teams and thousands of football lovers as Africa’s biggest football festival returns to North Africa.
