Wike’s Conditions to Halt Fubara’s Impeachment: Control Over Local Governments and 2027 Election Withdrawal
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former Governor of Rivers State, has reportedly set forth two conditions for ceasing the impeachment proceedings against current Governor Siminalayi Fubara. According to sources, Wike demands that Fubara:

- Sign an undertaking agreeing not to seek re-election in 2027.
